I was looking at parts for the Tipo online, and the original is absurdly expensive. One single tailight unit, slightly used?
440 bucks. I have two of these in perfect conditions, which means I'm driving with at least 880 reais bolted on to the back of my car. An OEM rear hatch, painted and complete with all Sedicivalvole emblems? 1200 bucks. I just realized that, if I parted out my car, I could get some serious cash, but the only one who would buy those parts... is me!

Meh... then one day you have to change your Tachometer on your Alpine A110... My father had to do it recently... cheap, cheap...

Let's not forget there's a small age difference between an Alpine and a Tipo...

Junkyard Tipo parts should be all over Italy. I don't tend to see Tipos in the Netherlands any more though.

I feel like headlights and tail lights are always insanely over priced- most likely because they're frequently replaced or damaged. I feel sorry for 300zx owners needing new oem headlights because

Parts for the regular Tipo aren't that hard to come by in Brazil as well, but anything that was different in the Sedicivalvole carries that premium. For example, OEM tailights for the 1.6 Tipo can be easily found for 70 bucks a pop:

Right, that's the way I remember them. Never realized the fast version had different light, but then again the vast majority of Tipos here weren't of the fast variety.

Same here in Brazil. A few years ago I remember reading about a particularly well taken care of example in a Brazilian car blog, which claimed as one of the last SVs in Brazil. Now, the exact same Tipo is for sale as a parts car in a Brazilian auction site. for 2500 bucks.
